The 16th International Conference of the International Society for Micropiles (ISM), held in Valencia, Spain, brought together 120 participants from 25 countries to explore the latest advancements in micropile technology and ground engineering.
Set against the backdrop of the stunning City of Arts and Sciences, the conference offered an inspiring environment for exchanging knowledge, connecting with colleagues, and celebrating the theme: “The Art and Science of Micropiles.”
Across three days, attendees engaged with over 35 technical presentations, four special lectures, and the prestigious Lizzi Lecture – each offering insights into emerging trends, research, and practical applications in the field.
PCA Ground Engineering was proud to represent the Australasian region as a finalist in the World Cup of Micropiles, showcasing our patented K-LoK system, which enables the foundation replacement or strengthening of transmission towers under live load.
The event was supported by 19 sponsors, whose contributions helped create a vibrant and inclusive space for learning and collaboration. The ISM community continues to foster a forward-thinking culture, with the energy and ideas shared in Valencia expected to influence the industry for years to come.
